Welcome to Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival
You may think you saw a puppet sawn in half! You could be hoodwinked by a card shark puppet! You might even see a puppet rabbit pulled out of a hat! - you just never know what could happen at the Puppets Up! International Festival because, well, It's Magic! This year, as the festival celebrates its 8th season, It's Magic! is the theme and there will be plenty of surprises, slights of hand and mysterious goings on in the streets of Almonte, the quirky little community with a thing for puppets, right at the heart of the Town of Mississippi Mills.
Once again Puppets Up! presents a two-day festival of wonder and amazement as ten professional puppet troupes perform in our family-friendly tented theatres on August 11 and 12. We've got street entertainment galore, along with our fantabulous daily parade of puppets!
How does a little town like Almonte manage to attract some of the best puppet troupes from around the world? Shhhh. It's Magic!
